Employment Opportunities - Case Manager

Thunder Bay Big Brother Big Sister Association Inc.

Position

Case Manager of On-Site Programming

We are looking for an energetic, positive person, with a strong commitment to our mission, who will take a creative approach to managing the recruitment, screening, matching and monitoring functions of all school based programming.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

·         Coordinating and implementing all school based Big Brother Big Sister Programs

·         Program planning and development

·         Recruiting and screening of potential volunteers

·         Client intake and assessment

·         Matching appropriate volunteers with clients

·         Providing match support

·         Confidential record keeping

·         Administering volunteer training and Child Safety Programs

·         Supervising staff, students and volunteers.

·         Public speaking to promote awareness

·         Planning agency activities

·         Assisting with agency fundraising activities

Successful applicants should have a human services related degree or diploma (psychology, education, social work, child and youth work, counselling, or a related field), with excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational and computer skills.  They should have experience working with a culturally diverse client/volunteer base and a good knowledge about child and adolescent development.  They must have a valid drivers licence and use of own vehicle is required.  A recent Criminal Reference Check that includes a Vulnerable Sector Search and TB Skin Test are needed.

This is a contract full-time position based on a five day (35 hour) work week.

Flexible schedule with some evenings and weekends are required.

This is a six month contract position with the possibility of full time employment.
